As many of you know, the Russian Federation invaded the neighboring country of Ukraine. Both countries are massive agricultural producing entities. The ramifications for global food prices will be severe and profound. What and how will this be the case, you may ask? According to Forbes, Russia and Ukraine alone account for 29% of the global wheat market and 17% of the global corn market. Shockwaves will reverberate across the globe, with some politically unstable Middle Eastern and African countries such as Sudan and Egypt importing upwards of 85%-70% of their food supply, respectively.
