Bert A. Cobban, 58, passed away Sept. 1, 2022, having lost a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born Berton Alfred Cobban in Helena on April 4, 1964, to Robert W. and Linda L. (Doughty) Cobban. Bert was raised on the family ranch in Winston, Mont., and attended school in Broadwater County. Bert attended the National College of Business in Rapid City, South Dakota graduating in 1985 with a Travel Management Degree. He worked for Continental Airlines for 15 years as a ticket sales manager and traveled the world. Bert never married but his life was full of family and friends. He later worked various jobs in Broadwater County, including: Wheat Montana, Commercial Bar, and a time with Schwan’s. In 2006, Bert moved to Whitehall and built his dream ranch home. In 2007, he moved to Lehr, North Dakota, and built a bar and restaurant and operated that for 12 years.
