‘Bucking’ the trend

A healthy looking mule deer buck enjoys a sunny late-February day in Lewistown. Deer often begin losing their antlers in January and most are off by the beginning of March. Hunting for these “sheds” is a popular springtime activity in Central Montana. A new set of antlers is re-grown each year.
