Academic Excellence

Joe Gaylord (left), superintendent of Grass Range Schools, accepts a plaque from Kip Ryan, assistant director of the Montana High School Association, Friday night, Jan. 26 in Grass Range. Grass Range was the Class C winner of the NorthWestern Energy Academic Excellence Award for the 2016-2017 school year. Winners are determined by averaging the grades of students who took part in athletics, music or speech/drama programs offered by the school during the school year. Grass Range narrowly edged Denton for the award.
