Acquire effective knowledge via Board Leadership training

On Oct. 4 at the Council on Aging Community Center (307 W. Watson, Lewistown), Paul Lachapelle, MSU Community Development, will hold two sessions of Board Leadership training – first at 2 p.m. and the second at 5:30 p.m. This free training is specifically geared to public boards, districts, commissions and committees in Montana, and will cover understanding Montana statutes, effective meeting techniques, conflict management and leadership using the SOAR (strengths, opportunities, aspirations, results) technique.

The purpose of this training program is to assist board members in acquiring the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities through interactive training sessions.

While this course is primarily for public boards in Montana, those who serve on private boards will also find the information useful.
