Anniversary brings act of kindness

Dear Editor,
Saturday evening the 20th, Bev and I were at Harry’s Place for dinner to celebrate our 61st anniversary. We sat next to a young man and his cute little daughter, maybe 7 years old, and struck up a conversation. Of course, Bev told them we were celebrating our 61st anniversary. He commented on how wonderful it was for two people to be together that long. They finished their meal, paid their bill and left. As they went out the door the little girl had a big smile on her face.
Our waitress came over and said the young man had paid for our meal and it was all taken care of -- now I know why that sweet little gal had that “I know something you don’t know grin on her face.” We don’t know who they were and he wanted it that way, but we want you to know how much it meant to us. It warms the heart to know there are people like that out there. Just think of the act of kindness he taught that little girl by doing that, too.
