April 1 fund-raising event would benefit parklet project

At their meeting on Friday, Feb. 17, the Lewistown Arts and Entertainment District Association Board discussed an event to raise funds for the District’s parklet project.
The District recently received a $1,000 donation to be used as part of the organization’s $2,000 match needed for the parklet project.
The Department of Commerce, which awarded a grant of $5,000 for the project, requires local matching funds. Now the board must raise the other $1,000.
An event with food, music and other entertainment is being considered for April 1 at the former TV Appliance Building on Main Street.
