Fergus County commissioners review subdivision, pay periods

The Board of Fergus County Commissioners will hold its regular business meeting Monday, June 27 at 2 p.m. in the Fergus County Commissioners Office, 712 West Main Street, Suite 210, in Lewistown. Items on the agenda include personnel announcements, Peaceful Outlook minor subdivision, Hanover Junction covenants, fairgrounds utility easement, appointments for water and sewer, rural fire boards and the Council on Aging and a resolution to how pay periods will be handled for County employees. The meeting is open to the public.

The next business meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 11 at 2 p.m.

Judith Basin annual Middlefork weekend

Judith Basin annual Middlefork weekend will be held Friday, June 24 - Sunday, June 26 in the Little Belt Mountains. Come up for day rides or stay all night. Many ride options available. Call Judy Fossum for directions and details at 374-2594. Family welcome. Dogs must be leashed.

Take to the air with Wind and Strings today

Come and dance to the country band Wind and Strings, at today’s (June 25) Saturday afternoon dance. The band features Tom Wilson on harmonica, Woodie Westberg on guitar and vocals, Tony Hencil on dobro and Carole Songer on vocals.

The dance hall is located at the corner of Third Avenue South and Barnes Street. The dance goes from 2 to 4 p.m. Dancers of all ages are welcome.

There will be a coffee/cookie break at 3 p.m. There is a small admission fee.


Health District to discuss junk vehicle contract

The Central Montana Health District will hold a board meeting on Thursday, June 30 at 1 p.m. in the Health District’s conference room in Centennial Plaza, 300 1st Ave. North, Suite 201. Items on the agenda include budgets, timekeeping, personnel update, new office update, junk vehicle contract with the County Road and Bridge Department, and reports.
