tertainment District will host the gazebo entertainment at the Central Montana Fair, and they’ll be doing so by representing a variety of different mediums.

“We will have a few musicians performing different genres from folk to jazz to bluegrass,” Arts and Entertainment spokesperson Carol Woolsey said. “We are also going to host a quick draw.”

A quick draw competition, Woolsey said, is when a group of painters are tasked with painting the same image for a given amount of time. In this case, artists – both professional and amateur – will have 90 minutes to draw. Local musicians will perform during the contest.

Woolsey said some artists have signed up, but more artists are welcome.

“If you want to get involved, call me at 366-8132 or come by the gazebo at 1 p.m. on Saturday,” she said. “I will provide boards, watercolor paper and acrylics.”

Woolsey said she is excited for the competition, as well as for the music.

“We will have Rob Coles, a new artist in the area, play some originals and some covers,” she said. “We’ll also have [City Planner] Duane Ferdinand and Chris Hildebrant. Other artists are welcome. Come on down.”
