Sean Bronec

Sean Bronec played an important role on the Denton-Geyser-Stanford football team this year. Bronec,  who transferred from Geraldine to Denton, played on the DGS basketball team this past year. This fall was his first year of Bearcat football.
Bronec played center for the Bearcats on offense and an end on defense.
It was a challenge for the entire Bearcat team to go from playing six-man football last year to eight-man football this year, but DGS made the switch and only lost two games the entire season. Their first loss came during regular season conference play against Ennis. Ennis went all the way to win the Class C eight-man championship. The Bearcats second loss came in the first round of the playoffs when they dropped a contest to Circle.
Following the season, Bronec earned all-conference and all-state honors. For the Southern C Division, he earned second-team all-conference honors as a center and defensive end. He earned first-team all-conference honors as a punter for the Bearcats.
Bronec, along with teammates Austin Hartman and Rhet Woodhall, earned all-state honors from the Southern Eight-Man Division. He was also selected to play in the All-Star Eight-Man football game in Butte in early June.
