Bicycling teen struck by hit and run driver

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, the Lewistown Police Department received a report of a hit and run involving 17-year-old male on a bicycle being struck by a motor vehicle. The incident occurred on West Boulevard at the intersection of the walking trail near Tenth Avenue North. The vehicle that struck the bicyclist was described as a newer red Dodge pickup with a red topper, or possibly a red Chevy Tahoe. The driver was described as an older white male wearing a cowboy hat. The suspect vehicle briefly stopped and then continued west on West Boulevard.

The youth received minor injuries and was transported to CMMC by a private vehicle. He was treated and later released.
