From Abby Franks, club director:

I am very proud of the people I work with. My co-staff here at the Club continues to inspire me; most recently demonstrated by the program staff hosting the Masquerade Ball. The funds raised assisted the purchase of new laptops and cart for the kids’ rooms. The staff organized the event and auction items, worked with the Elks to host the event and did a fantastic job. Thanks so much to these great co-workers for always going above and beyond.

Congratulations also, to two great co-workers celebrating their anniversary with the BG Club: Tracy Huck (two years) and Kimberly Haynes (one year). These two are really lovely, selfless, hardworking individuals. Our community is lucky to have them at the Club.

There are many reasons to be excited about the Wells Fargo Montana Island Challenge this year: First to mention is our new location at Cottonwood Log Cabins. Thanks to Al Lake, we will host five different events on beautiful trails at this great spot, located just 10 miles west of Lewistown. Visit montanaislandchallenge.com for information about the event.

From Crystal Tyler, office manager:

Our parents are a great part of our after school program, being supportive of child activities and volunteering at the Club. We could not do this without your help and support. We want to hear from you: If you haven’t completed your parent survey, there is still time. Please see Crystal or Shila for more information and the survey link. Bring in a screenshot or print out of a page of the survey to be entered into a drawing for a gas card. Survey closes on May 24.

Reminder: the last day for the after school program for the Club is May 24.

The Club will not be open the last week of school as we prepare for our summer program. Summer Safari begins Wednesday, June 7 at 7:40 a.m. Summer information packets will be mailed out to summer enrollees the first part of June.

From Jeanette Rector, homework room director:

Teachers’ appreciation week was celebrated at the Club and the kids in the homework room took this opportunity to thank all of the teachers that helped them throughout the year. We made cards for them and had banana splits for them to enjoy. They were given a tour of the Club and a gift. It was wonderful to hear how much the kids appreciate and respect their teachers; they shared some great and funny stories. Thank you to all the teachers for your hard work.
