Celebrate success at the pool dedication ceremony

Friends of the Pool will host a community open house to celebrate the new pool on Tuesday, July 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to celebrate the completion of the Lewistown City Pool rehabilitation. The event will include a pulled pork barbecue, tours of the new aquatics facility, and use of the pool, waterslides, and splash park at no charge. At 6 p.m., a formal dedication of the new pool will take place.

“We are so appreciative of all the support we have received for this project,” said Kevin Kepler, Friends of the Pool chairman. “Our group formed in the spring of 2013 and since then, the community has come together to secure over $3 million to save our pool and ensure that youth and families continue to have this wonderful facility to utilize during the summer. This open house and barbecue is our way of thanking everyone for their tremendous support and showing our donors what has been accomplished.”

In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Wednesday, July 20 at the same time. For more information, visit the Friends of the Lewistown City Pool Facebook page or call Kevin Kepler at 535-8283.
