Central Montana Education Center Happenings

New dates for Gold Mine bus tour

Join us for a trip to the old mining town of Kendall on our Last Gold Rush bus tour on Saturday, July 1. Hear the history and see the ongoing mine reclamation. The group will have a picnic in Maiden followed by a tour of that historical gold mining ghost town. Bus will leave Lewistown at 10 a.m. and return at approximately 3 p.m. Originally set for June 17, the trip to Kendall has been moved to Saturday, July 1.

If you didn’t get a chance to sign up for the trip originally, don’t miss your last chance for the summer.

Please contact the Central Montana Education Center with any questions or to register at 535-9022. For planning purposes, people are encouraged to call us to get registered and paid as soon as possible.

Instructors and classes sought

We are starting to build our fall Adult Education class flyer. To provide a wide variety of Adult Education classes we constantly lookout for new class ideas. These ideas often come from community input. Community involvement helps keep our program diversified. Therefore, what class have you always wanted to take? Have you seen great crafting or decorating ideas on Pinterest and want to learn how to create these pieces yourself? Interested in art, music, fitness, estate planning, computer skills or cooking classes? Let us know your interests. We aim to serve the community.

On the same note, we always seek new instructors. Do you have a talent for teaching computer skills? Or do your talents lie in another skill, craft, trade, profession or passion? We want to know. More often than not, your skill is exactly what others seek.
