American Legion Auxiliary No. 76 met on April 2 at the Hobson Senior Center with Irene Welch, hostess. Communications from Department were read and thank you notes were read, including those from the Lewistown Veterans Clinic for cookies and coffee we took in February, and from the Fort Harrison Gift Shop CHR Sandy Runkel for our Christmas donations.

A report was given on the Central District 9 spring meeting, attended by members Joyce Turner and Janet Gardner as delegates, and Mae Rosman as District Chaplain. Outgoing District President Gayle Doney received our late member, Darlene White’s, Past President’s Pin, courtesy of Darlene’s family.

Mae served on the revision of the Constitution that, after corrections, was approved by the delegation and will be sent to Department. Mae also conducted a Field Service Orientation class with 20 Auxiliary members taking part.

Election of Officers was held, with all officers agreeing to remain in office for the coming year. Mae Rosman, president; Cynthia Edwards, first vice president; Nell Blair, second vice president; Secretary Rosalie Bruchez; Treasurer Joyce Turner; Chaplain Denice Raines, Historian Irene Welch.

Girls State CHR Rosalie Bruchez announced we have a delegate from Hobson and one from Moore to attend this year’s session. Plans were made for the upcoming Pie and Coffee Day to be held from 12:30 to 6 p.m. during school election on May 2. This project helps fund our Girls State delegate. Poppy Poster CHR Audrey Miller will have the Poppy Posters on display for those wishing to vote for People’s Choice.

Annual reports filled out by the activity’s chairmen were returned and will be mailed to Department. Hostess Irene served refreshments.
