Have you been thinking about taking one of our Adult Community Education classes this fall, but just haven’t had the chance to call? Jay Leno (Alberta Bair Theater Bus Trip) – Friday, Nov. 18, 6 p.m. Must register and pay by Monday, Oct. 17 at noon: Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, much-in-demand corporate speaker, lovable TV and movie voice-over artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic and philanthropist... it’s no wonder that Jay Leno is widely characterized as “the hardest working man in show business.”

Apple Devices – Monday and Thursday, Oct. 17 and 20: Learn the fundamentals of your iOS Apple devices. Includes basic set-up, navigation of settings, naming your device, synching and backing up through the iTunes platform, and creating a free Apple ID.

American Sign Language – Starts Wednesday, Oct. 19, 5 weeks: Learn basic communication techniques to use with the hearing impaired. Practice many skills, including finger spelling and sentence structure. Come have fun & learn a new language.

Understanding your Apple Laptop – Monday and Thursday, Oct 24 and 27: (Note date correction) Want to know how to operate a Mac laptop? This class will introduce you to the Mac operating system, basic navigation, keyboard shortcuts and more. A basic understanding of computers is required to take this course. Must bring your Mac laptop.

Holiday Appetizers and Party Planning – Tuesday, Oct. 25: Learn how to make tasty appetizers for your holiday parties. Some recipes are very simple, while others more complex. Joan will also demonstrate how to use wonton wrappers and phyllo dough for upscale snacks. Get tips on planning all aspects of your party, so that it will be stress-free for you as the host! 

Payroll Operations Workshop – Tuesday, Nov. 1: All you need to know about doing payroll in a business. Add this training to your job search resume. This class will take you through the paperwork process needed when hiring personnel, setting up payroll, applying for payroll accounts, basic payroll calculations, and quarterly and year end payments and reports. Instructors are from HMAR Accounting Firm.
