CMMC Auxiliary

Vice President Christine Todd called the October meeting of the CMMC Auxiliary to order at 12 p.m. noon on Oct. 10, 2017 in the conference room of the medical center.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The Treasurer’s report was given by Patty Neeman.

New member Helen Hutchison was introduced and welcomed. She will be working at the information desk.

Linda Werdin was commended for the talk she gave at the annual hospital meeting. Linda stepped up to give the speech in the absence of our president, Lisa Householder.

Ann Tuss, the Foundation coordinator, announced the hospital will provide a computer monitor for the Auxiliary, to be placed somewhere in the vicinity of the gift shop. She volunteered to be the contact person for the project.

She also stated that, according to the CEO, the hospital will have a volunteer luncheon in May, and that it will host the Auxiliary’s Christmas Dinner and the annual luncheon for the Installation of Officers.

Jackie Moberly reminded everyone that Oct. 25 and 26 are the dates for the book fair to be held in the foyer of the Medical Center. Anyone interested in helping, please contact Jackie.

Betty Yaeger is in charge of the silent auction to be held Nov. 27-30. Everyone is to bring their auction items to the next meeting. Dates to remember are:  Oct. 25-26, book fair; Nov. 6, Gift Shop open house; Nov. 27-30, silent auction; and the Christmas Bazaar, Dec. 7.

Barb Janicek announced her group will meet to make Christmas stockings Oct. 27 from noon to 4 p.m. at the hospital. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.

Patty Neeman offered to meet with Pat Todd to get the calling tree updated.

Ann Tuss made several announcements. First, she requested the Auxiliary members please refer to registration as ‘registration’ and not admitting. The sign says “registration,” and using the same term makes it less confusing for the public.

Her news that the Foundation had purchased four new wheelchairs brought smiles to the members.

Ann then announced Jerry Carpenter will be representing the Auxiliary on the Advisory Board of the Foundation, and that the CEO had asked Carey Darlington to be the liaison with the Auxiliary.

Barb and Linda will head the committee for our Christmas dinner, Dec. 12 at the regular meeting time.

Meeting adjourned. Our next meeting will be Nov. 14 in the conference room of the CMMC.
