Construction to start again on West Overpass

Century will start up construction activities again on the Lewistown West Overpass project. Work began on April 17,. Curb and sidewalk replacement will begin on West Main at 13th Avenue South and progress towards 10th Avenue South. Sidewalks will be closed to pedestrian traffic during construction activities. Please avoid walking through the work zone and use an alternate route. Traffic will be temporarily shifted around the work zone during working hours. Current working hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The remaining sections of concrete retaining wall will be poured in front of the MDT building. Expect to see concrete trucks entering and exiting the construction site. Please use caution while driving through this area. None of this work is expected to impact traffic.

At this time, Century Companies Inc. would like to remind motorists to always expect the unexpected when driving through work zones. Motorists are advised to watch for work crews, heavy equipment and reduced speed limits. Posted limits are enforced until signs indicate the work zone has ended. Fines will double in work zones.

Road construction plays a crucial role in maintaining safe roadways and travel throughout Montana. Century Companies Inc. asks that motorists practice patience when approaching construction zones. Travelers should expect delays and are encouraged to adjust their travel times accordingly. Century Companies Inc. is dedicated to expediting this project and apologizes for any inconvenience it may cause.
