Department of Livestock to hold meeting on cattle disease

The Montana Department of Livestock will be hosting an informational meeting on Johne’s disease at the firehall in Roy on Friday, June 2 at 10 a.m.

Johne’s disease is a chronic illness of cattle that causes diarrhea and poor condition. It is spread to calves through contact with manure from infected adults. It is untreatable.

DOL staff will be discussing the disease and management strategies at the informational meeting.  Cattle producers and the public are welcome. Please contact the DOL with questions at (406) 444-5214.
