Elsie Patricia Tuss, 87, passed away from cancer on Oct. 2, 2019 at Peace Hospice inGreat Falls.

Elsie was born to Anton and Anna Tuss on July 10, 1932 in

Lewistown. Elsie graduated from St. Leo’s High School and entered Sisters of Humility Convent in September 1949. She taught elementary school for 32 yrs in many locations. Elsie worked as the Rehab Unit secretary, Deaconess Hospital, Great Falls for 13 yrs. She dispensed from religious vows in October 1987 after 38 yrs.

In April 1994, she met Russ Salisbury from Floweree. Elsie retired in 1997 and moved to the Salisbury farm. She loved gardening, plus assisted in many farm

and ranch activities. Elsie and Russ married Aug. 12, 2014. Russ passed away Feb. 10, 2019. Elsie the moved back to Great Falls on March 7, and lived in various places until her passing.

Elsie is survived by brothers Anthony “Tony-Bob” (Daisy) Tuss and Benjamin (Suzie) Tuss from Lewistown; sisters Paulette (Garry) Blaseg of Nampa Idaho, and Annette (Jim) Terry of Great Falls; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by stepsons, Todd Salisbury, Carter, and Shane (Ann) Salisbury of Billings, and their families; brother-in-law Kirby (Tina) Salisbury of Belize; niece Christie (Carlos) Juarez of Floweree; nephew Scott (Veronica) Salisbury of Billings, and families. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Russ Salisbury. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 at 12 p.m., at the Black Eagle Community Center.
