Enjoy Harvest Dinner at American Lutheran in Winifred

The American Lutheran Church in Winifred is holding its annual Harvest Dinner and Bazaar on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event follows the Sunday worship service that will begin at 9 a.m.

The meal includes turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, corn, cranberries, sweet potato casserole, relish tray, homemade pie and a beverage. There is a cost for the meal. To-go meals will be available for a small surcharge.

A bazaar, including handcrafted items, baked goods and holiday gifts, will be featured during the event.

The congregation also is selling raffle tickets for a queen-size quilt in autumn colors. The quilt was made and donated by Marian Nesheim. She is the wife of Pastor Vaughn Nesheim, who served as the second pastor of the church before beginning a career as a U.S. Army Chaplain.

The raffle drawing will be at the church’s Mission Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 11:30 am. Proceeds from the raffle, meal and bazaar will benefit various church ministries.

To donate items for the bazaar, please call Karrie Sramek at 538-8809. Donated items should be brought to the church Sunday morning before the 9 a.m. worship service. For more information about the dinner, please call Erin Slivka at 462-5474.
