Enola Joyce Lambeff, 92, passed away at her home on Dec. 26, 2021, with her family gathered around her. She was born August 31, 1929 in Taylor, North Dakota, to Roland and Opal (Poppe) Vaagen. She grew up as the only girl of their eight children and her name spelled backwards is “Alone.”

Enola graduated from Taylor High School. On Aug. 28, 1949, she married Michael Wolbaum and together they had five children. They resided in Dickinson, North Dakota, until 1955 when they moved to Lewistown.

Her first husband Michael passed away in 1982. Enola enjoyed a long career, nearly 40 years, working in retail at different shops like JC Penney and Yellow Front. Along the way she remarried to Robert Lambeff (1978). She was a member of the Kitchen Band, enjoyed camping and fishing, gardening, flowers, dancing and sewing. Enola is survived by her children, Kevin Wolbaum, Pat Forrest, Michele Barkhoff, and Susan Harrell; grandchildren, Dyan Parrow, Corrie Knerr, Matthew Battrick, Megan Wanner, Sydney Wanner, Misty Harrell, and Kristi Harrell; great-grandchildren, Kaden Weis, Halli Weis, Dylan Dawson, Dwan Knerr, Nicholas Battrick, and Thadias Battrick; and numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, two husbands, and daughter Joyce.

A celebration of Enola’s life will be held at a later date and will be announced. Cremation has taken place at her request. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
