Fair Board reorganizes in 2018

With one member missing, and several agenda items slowed due to winter weather, a majority of the Fergus County Fair Board’s Tuesday meeting was spent reorganizing its committee structure.

Board member Alan Shammel remains on the Entertainment Committee, but will now be joined by fellow board member Pam Vosen. The board also approved a list of names Shammel wanted to see populate the group.

Board President Brett Maxwell will continue to serve on the Rodeo Committee during his last year, and member Connie Ahlgren was unanimously added to the committee.

The Activies Committee will be staffed by members Shammel and Ahlgren, while the Pavilion Committee will have Candi Zion as its only board member.

The reorganization also saw a unanimous vote to close out the Horse Show Committee, and board members combined the Fee and Financial committees into a single new Financial/Fee Committee. Vosen and Zion were selected to represent the board in that group.
