Fergus finishes fifth at Class A Duals

The Fergus wrestling team took fourth place at this year’s Class A Duals, which were held on Friday and Saturday at the Special Events Center at Belgrade. The Golden Eagles competed against Polson, Corvallis, Park and Glendive in Pool D on Friday. After defeating all four teams in Pool D, Fergus advanced to the championship round on Saturday. The Eagles defeated Hamilton, 40-27, in the championship bracket and then lost to Sidney in the semifinals. Fergus then faced Hardin for third place. The Bulldogs defeated the Eagles, 39-30, giving Fergus fourth place in the dual competition.
Winning the Class A duals was Havre with a 48-18 victory over Sidney in the championship dual.
On Friday, Fergus defeated Polson, 49-24, defeated Corvallis, 42-33, Park (Livingston), 46-27 and Glendive, 34-30.
