Fergus netters complete regular season play this weekend

The Fergus volleyball teams will play their final matches of the season this week. The Golden Eagles travel to Havre on Friday night to face the Blue Ponies. The freshman match begins at 4 p.m. in Havre.
Saturday, the Golden Eagles face the Lady Indians of Browning at home. The freshman game on Saturday starts at 3 p.m., with the junior varsity and varsity to follow.
Fergus enters the final week of the regular season with a 5-1 conference record and an overall record of 10-9, after falling to Huntley Project last weekend.
Although the Golden Eagles have dropped into third place in serving percentage, several members of the team rank in the top 10 in the conference and overall sets. Anna Zimmer has a serving percentage of 93.3 percent in conference play to rank third, Carley Carpenter follows in fifth place with at 92.8 percent, Bailey Collins in sixth at 92.7 percent and Mikayla Comes in seventh at 91.5 percent. In overall sets, Carpenter is fourth at 93.5 percent and Comes is sixth at 93.2 percent.
Ajiah Ross, Zimmer and Haydn Potter are in the top 10 in kills for overall sets and in conference play. With 45 aces in all matches, Carpenter is tied for first. Comes continues to be in second place for assists with 451 in overall play and 147 in conference matches.
Defensively, the Golden Eagles are led by Collins with 248 digs in overall matches. Collins has 71 digs in conference play.
