Frances A. Brabender

Frances A. Brabender, 93, of Lewistown passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 23, in the Central Montana Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes. She was born Dec. 4, 1923 in Moore, the daughter of Arthur and Georgia Jolliff. She received her education in central montana schools, and in 1941 she was united in marriage to Francis Kuhry in Lewistown.They lived and ranched near Grass Range in the Chippewa Creek area. They later divorced. She was united in marriage to Edward (Vic) Brabender on January 11, 1965, in Washburn, North Dakota. They lived at Max Air Force Base in North Dakota later moving to Havre, Montana. He retired from the Air Force in 1972, and they moved to Hobson. After several years in Hobson they moved into Lewistown where they lived until his death in 2000. She entered the Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in 2008.

Frances was a private person who enjoyed time with her family.

She is survived by her children Howard (Susan) Kuhry of Yakima, Washington., Wanda (Mel) Olson of Lewistown, Anthony (Betty) Kuhry of Grass Range; brother Jimmy (Tinker) Jolliff in Washington; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and three brothers. 

Graveside Services for Frances A. Brabender were Friday, Aug. 25 at 11 a.m. in the Lewistown City Cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home assisted the family.
