Mrs. Estell’s third-grade class of Hobson School brought three of their recent projects to the Hobson Senior Center during lunch hour to show off their work.

They all made poppy posters in honor of Memorial Day. These posters will be displayed at school and will be available for voting on “Best of Show.” They recently had a food drive and collected 240 cans of food for the Food Bank -- great work. Each child showed small bowls and containers with fitted lids they made out of rolled magazine pages. Seniors were surprised at their items. They wouldn’t hold water, but would be great trinket boxes. They could be Mother’s Day gifts now.

Their third project was 3-D flowers. Students twisted and rolled colored paper to form big, blooming flowers. They explained their procedures and were very proud of their work. Seniors thanked them for sharing with them. Each received a bag of treats from the Senior Center for their work.
