Hobson Senior Center members invited the Hobson school teachers to a luncheon on Monday, Aug. 21. This was the third year for such an gathering.

About 20 teachers joined Superintendent Hugo Anderson for a meal of pulled pork, slaw, baked beans, fresh rolls, fruit salad, and a dessert of gingerbread with lemon sauce. Senior members donated the food. Jay and Nell Wood barbequed the pork. The delicious gingerbread dessert was made by Sharron Killham. Gary Durfey was the cook and made the rolls.

The Superintendent introduced each of the teachers, and hoped to keep Seniors in touch with information about school events. Teachers were invited to bring students and class projects to the Center to entertain the seniors during the school year.

Before they left, each teacher was given a vase of fresh flowers donated by Jean Mikkelson, Rosalie Bruchez, and Sharron Killham. Nell Blair and Irene Welch helped them arrange the flowers in vases. Guests all thanked the seniors for the food and flowers before they returned to school.
