Ice skating rink open for holiday break

Lace up your skates and come down to the rink at Frank Day Park for ice skating over the holiday break. The warming house will be open and hot chocolate and cider will be provided, compliments of the Lewistown Ice Skating Association.
Youth hockey leagues are taking a break for the holidays and will resume on Jan. 2. That means there will be plenty of free open skating opportunities throughout the coming week.
Here is the schedule for the next week:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday: open skate all day to 10 p.m.
Wednesday: Open skate until 5 p.m. Adult Novice Hockey, 6 p.m. Adult Rec League Hockey, 7:30 p.m. Call Derek at 350-0797 to inquire about registration and fee.
Saturday: Drop In Hockey, adults and kids (with gear): 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Open skate to 10 p.m.
There is no charge to use the rink during open skate times. Skate rentals are available at the civic center. For more information about the rink, call 538-2454.
