Judith Gap welcomes students back

Although summer is not over, school is already here, with classes at Judith Gap Schools starting Monday, Aug. 28. Judith Gap School is looking forward to a great year, as the 2017-18 School Calendar is up-to-date and full of academic and extracurricular events.

Judith Gap School kicked off the start of the school year with their annual Back to School Potluck Thursday night. Students brought in their school supplies, received their schedules, and checked out their lockers.

People can visit the school’s website at http://www.judithgap.k12.mt.us to view all current activities.  School hours begin at 7:40 a.m. and end at 3:50 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 2:20 on Friday.

Several new faces can be seen at Judith Gap Schools. New staff that have been welcomed are Don Lanning, facilities manager and Lisa Bues Cavanaugh (Ms. B.) who is training as business manager to replace Rosie Mitchell. Rosie will be retiring in June. The administration congratulates and welcomes all new employees, as they joined a great team of educators and staff.

Breakfast and lunch prices have been changed for the school year. Breakfast for K-12 is $ 1.35, and lunch prices are $2.45. Free and reduced applications forms can be obtained at the school. Parents or community members are welcome for breakfast or lunch anytime. Meals must be purchased before eating from Rosie or Ms. B. Breakfast for adults is $1.85; lunch, $3.55.

Bus routes have been determined. Parents who have questions regarding bus routes and pick-up and drop-off times, may call their route driver or contact Mrs. Hart for specifics. Shawn Truesdale will be driving the north route and Ken Fifield will be driving the east route.

Judith Gap Schools wishes all students a successful school year and extends its thanks to the parents and community for their continued support of the school and students.
