Julian Shinnick

Julian Shinnick, 29, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away Oct. 2, 2017 at home, from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was born Feb. 2, 1988 to Gene and Patti Shinnick in Billings.

Julian graduated from C.M.R. in Great Falls. Julian was an old soul when it came to listening to music; he loved to listen to old rock-n-roll. He was an avid WWE wrestling fan and looked forward to watching it weekly. He enjoyed trips to Lewistown to watch the Bump and Runs, cheering on his favorite drivers and visiting family. He loved going to the muscular dystrophy camps in the summer and looked forward to this every year. He enjoyed camping in the Belt and Snowy Mountains with family and friends.

Julian was very sociable and always had his own opinion on the subject being discussed. Julian enjoyed going hunting on the ranch with family. Julian enjoyed taking his service dog Cleo for walks while in his wheelchair. Julian was a good-spirited person and enjoyed life.

Julian fought a courageous battle for years, and is truly a hero to himself and to his family. Julian is loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends always.

He is survived by his parents, Gene and Patti Shinnick, and brother, Terrin Shinnick, of Great Falls, a grandmother, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
