Kipp Shane Heppner, 49, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018 at the Fort Belknap Health Center. He was highly allergic to wasps/ bees and passed away suddenly due to complications from a wasp sting.

Kipp was born in Terry, Montana on Jan. 25, 1969 to Fred and Carolyn (Martin) Heppner. He attended school in Colstrip, Montana. Kipp loved to draw and be outdoors; hunting, fishing and working with horses. He worked various jobs including at a dude ranch by Utica, where he was a guide.

In the 90’s, Kipp married Carol Olson; they later divorced. Kipp did some roofing work where he worked for others and at one time owned his own business. Then he was back to ranch work, working mostly around Utica, Hobson, and Buffalo.

Kipp is survived by his mother, Carolyn Askins of Stanford; father, Fred Heppner of Forsyth; sister, Doris Higbee of Billings; stepdaughter, Lauren Olson of Lewistown, and her daughter Aubrey; niece, Jessica Robertson; nephews, Kasey Robertson and Quentin Higbee; two great nieces; and several aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; one uncle; and his sister, Laura Herrera.

At Kipp’s request, cremation has taken place. A gathering will take place later. In honor of Kipp, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
