Remodel your kitchen with logic, as well as luxury in mind.

A lot of do-it-yourselfers waste a whole lot of money because they fail to plan their remodel. They think too much about what they want, and too little about what they need.

Sometimes they underestimate the amount of storage space to allot. Or they make countertop decisions based only on dining habits, forgetting that those counters could serve as future homework centers. Or they configure cabinet height to accommodate their toddlers, rather than the strapping teenagers they’ll become.

For starters, decide on all the ways you’ll use your new kitchen, from eating to entertaining, and then pinpoint your priorities. Decide, for example, if you’re primarily interested in upgrading the cabinets, the countertops or the appliances.
