Letter to the Editor - Central Montana does “the most good”

Dear Editor,

We want to take this opportunity to thank the Central Montana Community for another generous and successful Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas Fundraiser. Your generosity allows us to give folks from Central Montana, Lewistown, and some simply passing through town, a “hand up” when they are down.

Our motto is “Salvation Army – Doing the Most Good.” We had the opportunity and privilege to help dozens and dozens of people and families in 2017 during their time of need. This is only possible through the efforts of hundreds of volunteers from churches, civic organizations and individuals who brave the winter elements and stand by our “Red Kettles” ringing those Christmas bells. We appreciate all our volunteer “bell ringers.”

We also appreciate the folks at the Post Office, Shopko and Albertsons who gladly give us permission to do all of this at the entrance to their businesses. But most of all, we are grateful for the literally hundreds and hundreds of folks who deposited their money into the kettles. You are truly appreciated. The Lewistown SA volunteer team promises we will do our best to be good stewards of these dollars distributed throughout the coming year.
