Lewistown Fire-Rescue

Lewistown Fire Rescue was dispatched to the following incidents in the past week:

June 12, Medical Call, 0819hrs; Dispatched to the scene of a female patient who was having stroke-like symptoms. Firefighter/EMTs responded and administered medical care. Patient care was turned over to the CMMC ambulance crew upon their arrival.

June 12, Wildland Fire Call, 1033hrs; Dispatched to the scene of a wildland fire approximately 40’ by 40’ in size with no structures threatened. Two firefighters responded with a brush truck, extinguished the fire and continued to mop up the area until it was cold. 

June 12, Medical Call, 1100hrs; Dispatched to an elderly female experiencing nausea and vomiting. Firefighter/EMTs responded and administered medical care. Patient care was turned over to the CMMC ambulance crew upon their arrival.

June 12, Wildland Fire Call, 1641hrs; Dispatched to the scene of a wildland fire approximately less than one acre in size with no structures threatened. High gusty southeast winds had rekindled an old burn and pushed it onto a grassy knob near a gravel road. A general alarm was sounded. A brush, tender, two command vehicles and 16 firefighters responded. Flames were suppressed and mop up operations continued until the area was cold. All units and personnel cleared the scene. 

June 13, Public Service Call, 1002hrs; Dispatched to a City facility to complete a hazardous material changeover. One engine and two firefighters responded and completed the procedure. The area was inspected and tested for leaks. No deficiencies were found. The unit and personnel cleared the scene.  

June 13, Medical Call, 1211hrs; Dispatched to an elderly male who had fallen and potentially fractured an extremity. Firefighter/EMTs responded and administered medical care. Patient care was turned over to the CMMC ambulance crew upon their arrival.

June 13, Fire Call, 1320hrs; Dispatched to a general fire alarm with possible smoke. A general alarm was sounded. An engine and command vehicle responded to the scene to find an unintentional false alarm. System had been reset to normal operation. All units and personnel cleared the scene.

June 14, Medical Call, 0142hrs; Dispatched to an elderly male who had fallen with unknown injuries. Firefighter/EMTs responded and administered medical care. Patient care was turned over to the CMMC ambulance crew upon their arrival.

June 14, Medical Call, 0607hrs; Dispatched to an elderly female who had fallen and sustained an injury. Firefighter/EMTs responded and administered medical care. Patient care was turned over to the CMMC ambulance crew upon their arrival.

June 15, Medical Call, 0152hrs; Dispatched to a female who was unconscious in a vehicle and slumped over her steering wheel. Firefighter/EMTs responded and administered medical care. Patient care was turned over to the CMMC ambulance crew upon their arrival.

June 15, Medical Call, 0834hrs; Dispatched to a male in cardiac arrest. Firefighter/EMTs responded and determined the patient was dead on arrival. Patient care was turned over to Law Enforcement and the County Coroner.
