Lewistown Public Schools band instrument drive

Lewistown Public Schools beginning band program is growing. Due to the increasing prices of musical instruments, many families are not able to purchase or rent an instrument from a music store. LPS has been renting school owned instruments to students at a low cost, but can no longer keep up with the demand for these instruments.

Here’s where you can help. If you have a band instrument collecting dust in the garage, closet or under the bed, consider donating it to the LPS music department. It is cheaper in most cases to repair an older instrument than to purchase a new one. All donations are tax-deductible and we will provide a tax receipt. Donations can be dropped off at Lewistown Junior High or Lewis and Clark Elementary School.

Your instrument donation will be cleaned and repaired and rented to a student so they can participate in the band program.

Needed instruments:

Flutes, clarinets, alto saxophones, trumpets, and trombones.
