Bicycle Touring Theatre Coming Soon

The Agile Rascal Bicycle Touring Theatre is a troupe that creates original plays and tours them by bicycle.  They are devising a new show in Montana and touring it by bicycle on a six-week, 1,260 mile journey through the state.  We are very fortunate to be one of the ten stops the troupe is making on their performance tour across Montana.

The Agile Rascals will be offering two free workshops. The Bicycle Maintenance & Touring Workshop will be held at the Book Station at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 10.  Stop by and meet The Rascals. Bring your bike to repair, learn road-side repairs and ask questions about bike touring. All ages welcome.

The Theatre Workshop for 7-12 year old kiddos is set for Tuesday, July 11 at 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the library. Play fun theatre games and learn about behind-the-scenes of theatre from the country’s only bicycle touring theatre troupe.

The original play performance is Tuesday, July 11 at 7 p.m. at the Book Station. Free show. Bring a chair or blanket.

The Outrun by Amy Liptrot

A memoir about the return to Amy Liptrot’s childhood Orkney Islands after rehab becomes a reckoning with the nature, memories, history and future that holds her to the place. An insightful account of regaining control and finding wonder on a windswept island in the North Sea, “The Outrun” sends us on a journey of hope, discovery of place and living life through thoughtful, lyrical prose.
