The library is open 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday – Friday, and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. We are closed Sunday and Monday. Contact us by phone at 538-5212, or email  


Holiday Closure

The library will be closed for Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, Nov. 23. Regular hours will resume on Friday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.


Patron Survey

The Lewistown Public Library Board of Trustees and Director are working on a Strategic Plan for the Library. In order to get the most feedback a survey has been designed to allow people to share their favorite things about the Library and share their concerns and things they want to see changed. We would greatly appreciate you filling out the survey. Drop by the front desk and fill out a survey or complete an online survey by accessing our website Thanks so much for your time.  


Save the Date

Save the date for Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 and start assembling your team for the trivia night. Chili dinner begins at 5 p.m. at Jack’s Hanger with trivia to follow.


Book Station News

Books make great gifts -- the Friends of the Library book sale is Saturday, Dec. 2. The Book Station is located at 621 West Main Street (across from the library).  The book sale is 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  


Santa’s Seconds Sale

The Friends of the Library’s second annual Santa’s Seconds Sale (nearly new Christmas decorations) is Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the library upstairs meeting room.      

Donations are accepted through November for this sale. Clean and gently used Christmas decorations can be dropped off at the front desk in the Lewistown Public Library during regular business hours.  


Story Time 

Story time for babies, toddlers and preschool kids for this week is on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 10:30 a.m.  Join Ms. Dani for story, song and craft. Please note there is no Friday story time during Thanksgiving week.


Upcoming Hours

The library will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 26 to observe the Christmas holiday and Tuesday, Jan. 2 to observe the New Year holiday. Happy holidays!
