Local athletes perform well at Big Sky state games track and field

Several area athletes brought home medals in the sport of track and field from this year’s Big Sky State Games, which were held this weekend in Billings. The track and field events were held at Daylis Stadium on Saturday, July 16.
Following are the individual Central Montana athletes who placed in the top three in their events and won medals. Other Central Montana competitors and their sports will be honored in upcoming issues of the News-Argus.
Lauren Deegan of Hobson: girls 8-9, 55-meter dash, third, 9.72; 100-meter dash, second, 17.10.
Jacob Schnatter of Denton: boys 14-15, 100-meter dash, third, 12.38; 200-meter dash, second, 25.50; long jump, first, 18-9.25.
Kylie Zimmer of Lewistown: girls 12-13, shot put, first, 32-01.
Anna Zimmer of Lewistown: girls 14-15, shot put, first, 38-1; discus, third, 76-3.
Carson Weeden of Lewistown: boys 14-15, high jump, second, 5-2; pole vault, first, 10-6.
