Maralyn Golda Knapp

Maralyn Golda Knapp, 85, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 28, 2019 with family by her side at the Central Montana Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lewistown.

Maralyn was born in Lewistown to Alphanso Emmet and Golda Beryl Buck on July 8, 1933. She graduated from Grass Range High School in 1953, and on Aug. 17, 1954 she was united in marriage to Jerry Knapp in Belt.

Maralyn was a full time mom and grandma to all her kids and their friends. She took many under her wing and loved them like her own. Maralyn loved knitting, crocheting, quilting, ceramics, china painting, coloring, fly wheelers, oh and baking pies She was “fiery” and full of life.

Maralyn is survived by her husband, Jerry Knapp; children, Carlene (Ed) Dagel of Hilger, and Jerry Dean Knapp of Edmonds, Washington; grandchildren, Ed (Brenda) Dagel of Kaiserslautern, Germany and Connie (Eric) Zarn of Bigfork; great-grandchildren, Kael and Layla Dagel, Devlin and Alaura Zarn; siblings, Charles Buck of Lewistown and twin sister, Marjorie Brenneka of Arlington, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.

A celebration of Maralyn’s life will be held later this year; cremation has taken place. Memorial donations are requested to the Montana Hope Project or to the Central Montana Nursing and Rehab Center.
