Marcia May Myers

Marcia May Myers, 79, of Gwinner, North Dakota, formerly of Lewistown, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 of sudden heart failure at Parkside Lutheran Home, Lisbon, N.D.

Marcia was born on May 24, 1937 to Helen Kallberg in Ronan, and raised by Tom and Perlina Parsons in Polson. She graduated from Polson High School in 1956. Marcia was united in marriage to Merlin Myers on May 24, 1956 in Grass Range. They made their home in Missoula for a short time until moving to Grass Range in the fall of 1957 to start farming in the spring. They farmed and ranched until retiring in 2004. Marcia and Merlin then moved to Lewistown. Merlin passed away in 2009 and Marcia continued to live in Lewistown until 2014, when she moved to Gwinner, North Dakota to be closer to her son, Gary and family. 

Marcia was devoted to her husband and children. She gave them all her attention and focus throughout her life. Marcia cherished her children, especially her grandchildren.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Rita Graeber of Billings; sons, David (Sheila) Myers of Bismarck, N.D.; Dale (Terri) Myers of Billings; Ron (Denise) Myers of Apple Valley, Calif.; Lane (Dana) Myers of Apple Valley, Calif.; Gary (Abbi) Myers of Gwinner, N.D.; 16 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Katy (Wes) Tintinger of Helena; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin; two brothers, Ray Parsons and Robert Laurie; sister, Ruth Laurie.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, N.D. Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Lewistown City Cemetery, on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. under the care of Creel Funeral Home.
