Montana tourism, Ag representatives to attend Longest Table

“Montana’s Longest Table,” an outdoor dinner this evening, June 24, on Second Avenue, is sold out. The event also has captured the attention of Montana Office of Tourism and Department of Agriculture officials.

The dinner will seat 200, and features food prepared by local restaurants with ingredients produced by Montana farmers and ranchers, a celebration of Montana’s world-class agricultural production and the ag community of Central Montana.

Attending “Montana’s Longest Table” will be Jan Stoddard, Montana Office of Tourism Business Development. Also attending will be Lonie Stimac, with the Made in Montana/Grown in Montana program, and Steph Hystad, marketing officer for the Montana Department of Agriculture.

Gayle Fisher, executive director of the Central Montana Regional Tourism Board, will also be in attendance.

It is hoped the event, produced by the Ag Committee of the Lewistown Downtown Association, will be replicated across Montana. Jennifer Saunders, board member of the LDA and MSU Extension Office representative, organized the event. Jennifer can be reached at 535-3919.
