Moore graduate named to Rocky Hall of Fame

According to Rocky Mountain College Director of Athletics Bruce Parker, Moore High School graduate and Rocky graduate in 1978 Paul Barta will be inducted into the 2016 Rocky Mountain College Clara Klindt Athletic Hall of Fame.
Barta is currently an elementary teacher and coach at Columbus High School. During his 38-year Montana high school coaching career, Barta’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams have won 777 games, while playing in 29 district and 18 divisional championship games, as well as making 27 state tournament appearances.
At Rocky, Barta earned nine total letters while participating in basketball (4), track (30 and cross-country (2).
Barta will join four other individuals and two teams to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. This year’s Hall of Fame weekend is scheduled for Sept. 9 and 10. The induction dinner and ceremony will take place Friday, Sept. 9. This year’s inductees, along with current members of the Hall of Fame in attendance, will be introduced during halftime of the Rocky-Carroll College football game on Sept. 10.
