Newcomers looking for amenities

Dear Editor,

I worked in the Lewistown library for a number of years. This is a place where newcomers to town usually stop for information. I never once heard someone say that Lewistown had too many amenities for them to consider moving here. On the contrary, they were most interested in such things as parks, opportunities for their children’s recreation, an active arts community and a town that valued education and opportunity for all.

I believe the so-called “status quo” commissioners have been, and will continue to work for the betterment of this community. Far from being status quo, they are the progressive, forward-looking people we need to prosper.

I am in Ward 3 and my vote went to Beth Putnam and to Clint Loomis.
