Lewistown Downtown
Association meeting to be held July 19

The Lewistown Downtown Association board will meet on Tuesday, July 19 at 3 p.m. at the Brooks Building as usual. On the agenda will be the Reid’s Building and committee reports as needed. The LDA will not have a planning meeting this month. This meeting is open to the public.

Tractor show and outdoor
market planned in Ryegate

Montana International Harvester Collectors, Chapter 40, will be hosting the Third Annual Tractor Show and Outdoor Market on Saturday, July 16 in Ryegate.
Join the fun and tractor noise from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the field under the rims. The vintage tractor and car parade starts at 2 p.m. There is a small admission fee and children are free.

Sway to the Silver Sage
Country Band today

The Silver Sage Country Band is scheduled to play for the July 16 Saturday afternoon dance. The band features Lloyd McKenna on mandolin and guitar, Meryl McKenna on piano, Barbara Engle on bass guitar and Don Engle on lead guitar. All will participate in harmony vocals.
The dance goes from 2 to 4 p.m. with a short coffee/cookie break at 3 p.m. Dancers of all ages are welcome.
The dance hall is located at the corner of Third Ave. South and Barnes Street. There is a small admission fee.

Conservation districts offer grants

Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Montana announce the fall 2016 mini grant cycle is now open. These grants provide up to $2,000 to help fund local education and outreach efforts that address nonpoint source water quality issues.
Eligible applicants include conservation districts, watershed groups, local and county agencies, school districts, etc., capable of managing federal funding.
Deadline: Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Aug. 31.

Veterans pot luck is
Saturday in Forest Grove

There will be a pot luck picnic for all veterans today, Saturday, July 16. Enlisted men and women and VFW, American Legion, Sons of the Legion, their families and auxiliaries are invited to Bob Smith’s place at Forest Grove at noon July 16. To get to Forest Grove, turn left at the red, white and blue posts and follow the road for two miles to the site. Salads or desserts appreciated. Bring your choice of beverage.
