New 4-H
enrollment begins

On Oct. 1, 4-H enrollment begins for the new year. Younger kids start as Cloverbuds -- enrollees must be 5 years old on Oct. 1. Regular 4-H members must be 8 years old on Oct. 1.
There is also a need for project leaders. Can you help members with welding, woodwork, sewing, photography, cooking, baking, needlework or robotics? Consider becoming a 4-H project leader.

proposals subject of Arts and Entertainment meeting

The Lewistown Arts and Entertainment District Board of Directors will meet at noon on Friday, Sept. 16, in the Chokecherry Lane Mall, 311 West Main Street. Agenda items include a discussion and vote on cleanup projects in Downtown. The meeting is open to the public.

Denton Bible
Church celebrates 50th anniversary

The Denton Bible Church marks its golden anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 18. The day starts with fellowship and a time to share memories at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Worship Celebration led by pastors Jesse Rust and Harold Dover, Denton Bible Church’s first pastor. A potluck will follow. Those attending are asked to bring salads and desserts.

Groovy Gaffer
fans come dance
on Sept. 17

The Groovy Gaffers will provide the music for the Saturday Afternoon Dance on Sept. 17. The band features Lauri Lohrer on vocals and Dave Robertson, Don and Barb Engle on guitars and vocals. The dance goes from 2 to 4 p.m. with a short coffee cookie break at 3 p.m.
If you enjoy dancing to good country music, come and join in the fun. Dancers of all ages are welcome. The club building is located at the corner of Third Avenue South and Barnes Street. There is a small admission fee.

Health District
hosts public
meeting on Sept. 15

The Central Montana Health District Board will host a public meeting on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. in the Central Montana Health District Conference Room located at Centennial Plaza, 300 First Avenue North, Suite 201, in Lewistown.
The meeting is open to the public and public comments are welcome. Topics on the agenda include personnel updates, contract employee, office duties, on-call discussion, GlobalStar contract and reports from each department. Scouts offer
recycling collection

Cub Scout and Scout Troop 366 will be collecting recyclables at the LDS Church, 900 Casino Creek Drive, on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 2-4 p.m. Items to be collected include aluminum, paper, plastic containers and plastic bags.
