Bring cookies and tabbies for next ALA No. 76 meeting

American Legion Auxiliary No. 76 will meet Monday, Feb. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hobson Senior Center with Joyce Turner as hostess. Members are reminded to bring cookies for Valentines project and tabbies for Ronald McDonald House.

Registration opens for Summer Driver Education

Students from the Central Montana area interested in enrolling in Summer Driver Education for June 2018, and a parent or legal guardian, are asked to attend registration on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Fergus High School Cafeteria. There will be a short informational program followed by registration. Students must be at least 14 and a half years old when the session begins, so those born on or before Dec. 1, 2003 are eligible to enroll. The June session is scheduled from June 1--June 29, with classes held Monday through Friday and driving scheduled Monday through Friday, and possibly Saturday. Elk Foundation banquet planned for March 24

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Heartland Chapter will be holding a banquet Saturday, March 24 at the Lewistown Fairgrounds Trade Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. There will be prizes, auctions and dinner. Proceeds ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. Groovy Gaffers to return this Saturday for encore performance

The Groovy Gaffers will provide the music for the Saturday afternoon dance on Feb. 10. The band features Laurie Lohrer on vocals, and Dave Robertson, Don and Barb Engle on guitars and vocals. The dance hall is located at the corner of Third Avenue South and Barnes Street. The dance goes from 2-4 p.m. Dancers of all ages are welcome. There will be a coffee/cookie break at 3 p.m. There is a small admission fee.
