Airport Board to meet Wednesday, Nov. 2


Lewistown Municipal Airport Board to meet Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. in the Airport Terminal Meeting Room. Items to be discussed include claims, public comment, the airport manager’s report, the MMI engineering report, Bus Barn and more. The public is welcome. 

The next Board meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m.


ALA to host Veterans’ Day dinner

Fair’s Rodeo Committee to meet Nov. 3


A meeting of the Central Montana Fair’s Rodeo Committee will be held at 6 p.m., Nov. 3, in the Ag building. Items on the agenda include posters, special events, flags and banners, steer tripping and more. This meeting is open to the public.


Hockey Gear Swap today


Ice hockey season is right around the corner and there is a great opportunity to pick up some new gear this weekend. 

There will be a gear swap at Kring’s Greenhouse today (Saturday) from noon to 3 p.m. 

There will be gear for sale and for free. Most of the gear will be for youth players, but there will also be adult equipment.

Government Review Commission to meet Nov. 1


The Lewistown Government Review Commission will be meeting on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Lewistown City Complex. The purpose of the meeting is to disband the review commission before the election. This meeting is open to the public.


Halloween Ball happens tonight 


Adults are invited to come out and get spooky for a good cause on Saturday, Oct. 29 as the Lewistown Ice Skating Association hosts the Halloween Ball at Pourman’s Café. 

Doors open at 7 p.m. and music will be provided by Cloud 9 Entertainment. There will be silent auction items and a gun raffle. 

All funds raised will be used to operate the local ice-skating rink this winter.

There’s always room for improvement


Lewistown Improvement District will meet Monday, Nov. 14, at 8 a.m. in the SMDC conference room, 613 Northeast Main, Lewistown. Agenda items include: Minutes, financial status, public comments, investment plan, applications, commission name change, staff reports and other items. This meeting is open to the public.

Please note - the group won’t be meeting on Nov. 28 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.


Moose Lodge going to the dogs... and kids


Saturday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m., pets will be photographed in front of the Moose Lodge. Pictures will be placed in a competition for best-dressed pet. Donations will be accepted for “Heart of Montana.” You will be able to take your pictures home. If weather is bad, alternate picture place will be arranged.

At 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, the annual Halloween Party for kids offers fun for those up to 12 years of age. Come make a spider to take home. There will be a prize for the best costume.


Enjoy live music this Saturday with Silver Sage


The Silver Sage Country Band is scheduled to play for the Oct. 29, Saturday afternoon dance. The band features Lloyd McKenna on mandolin and guitar, Meryl McKenna on piano, Barbara Engle on bass guitar and Don Engle on lead guitar. All will participate in harmony vocals.

The dance goes from 2 to 4 p.m. with a short coffee/cookie break at 3 p.m. Dancers of all ages are welcome.

The dance hall is located at the corner of Third Avenue South and Barnes Street. There is a small admission fee.


Remember family and friends through Zion’s All Saints Day


Zion Lutheran Church, 604 West Evelyn, will host a Service of Remembrance on All Saints Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. Through song, prayers, and candle lighting worshipers will remember family members and friends who have died since last All Saints Day and in years past.
