The Hilger Annual Trap Shoot will be held Sunday

It’s time for the Hilger Rural Fire District Annual Trap Shoot. It will be held Sunday, Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shoot will be held at the Hilger Shooting Range located at the junction of Hwy. 191 and Winifred Hwy. 236 in Hilger. The shoot itself will have a sign-up on site and there is a fee. There will be a cash prize for every round. Returning this year are the Challenge Shoot and Pitch Tournament. A raffle will be held during the event. The prizes are a beef package and a 1/2 of a hog. All proceeds benefit the Hilger Volunteer Fire District. The public is invited to attend.

Learning Resource Center Co-op meets Tuesday

The Central Montana Learning Resource Center Cooperative will meet Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Lincoln School Board Room. Items on the agenda include claims, reorganization of the Board, Director’s report, STAR ESY contrct, hearing screening contract, travel stipend, financial summary report, 2018-19 budget and flow through requests. The meeting is open to the public.

School board to consider budgets for high school, elementary school Monday

The Lewistown School Board meets Monday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Board Room. Items on the agenda include annual report, elementary and high school financial summaries, approval of elementary and high school budgets, approve destruction/disposal of documents, approve changes to student handbooks, approve IDEA Part B federal flow through grant applicaton for special education expenses, approve MOU with the City for school resource officer services, approve outof-district student attendance agreement, approve substitute list and approve personalle report. The meeting is open to the public.

Auditions open for ‘Charlotte’s Web’

The Judith Mountain Players are holding auditions on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 1-3 p.m at the Senior Citizen Center on the corner of South Third Street and Barnes Street (near Frank Day Park). The Players are producing “Charlotte’s Web,” based on the beloved children’s book by E.B. White and adapted by Joseph Robinette. Those interested in auditioning should come prepared to do a cold read and possibly read with other actors. “Charlotte’s Web” is a community production for all ages. If very young children are interested in participating, they will be asked to give us their best animal impressions. This is a familyfriendly show to be performed on the last weekend of September, with a Friday and Saturday evening performance, and a Sunday Matinee. Anyone with talent in costumes/ sewing, set construction, lighting or sound is encouraged to come to auditions. Community theatre is only as great as the community it endeavors to share the gift of theater with. The JMP already knows how wonderfully gifted and creative Lewistown is: come out and play with us.

The Dementia Caregiver Support Group is meeting

The CMMC Dementia Caregiver Support Group is meeting, Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 103 12th Ave. S., Lewistown The purpose of this meeting is to hear from the caregivers of central Montana as to what services and support they need. This is the first meeting of the support group for caregivers of people with dementia. Caregivers are welcome to attend, there will be supporters available to sit with the people who have dementia during the meeting. The purpose of this first meeting is to establish how the caregivers want the support group set up. We want your input to make this work for you and how CMMC can serve you. Lewistown TIF District Board meeting

The next public meeting of the Lewistown TIF District Board will be held at 8 a.m. in the SMDC Conference Room, 613 N.E. Main, Lewistown, on Monday Aug. 13. Agenda items include:

•Update on board vacancy

•Review new applications

•Review annual report

•Finalize changes to investment plan and application

•Update on Power Mercantile waiver request This meeting is open to the public.

All 1950s class picnic

The annual all-1950s class picnic will be held at noon at Frank Day Park Saturday, Aug. 18. The Fergus High class of 1958 will cater the picnic and provide bottled water.
