Airport changes meeting date to Aug. 10

The Lewistown Municipal Airport Board changed its meeting date to Aug. 10. It will be at the Airport Terminal Meeting room at 3 p.m. The public is invited.

Arts group to
discuss having a “klean kart”
for downtown

The Lewistown Arts and Entertainment District Association board of directors will meet at noon on Friday, Aug. 5, in the Chokecherry Lane Mall, 311 West Main Street. Agenda items include reports from the four standing committees and a discussion about sponsoring a “Klean Kart,” a cart-like conveyance for cleaning up Main Street. The meeting is open to the public. Anyone interested in using art and entertainment to help revitalize downtown Lewistown is urged to attend.

Study Commission meets Aug. 12

The Lewistown City Government Study Commission plans to meet Friday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Civic Center to go over the tentative report one last time before turning it into the Department of Administration in Helena as their final adopted report. Members of the public are welcome (and encouraged) to attend.

Time for the annual Moose family picnic

Here it is again. On Sunday, Aug. 7, from noon until dusk, join us at Frank Day Park for great food, lots of fun and a chance to win a bundle. First prize– a beef bundle; second prize– a pork bundle; third prize– one year’s dues. Door prize: 1 ham. In addition to these you will be able to bid on a wonderful home-baked dessert or a basket full of wonderful things. Come and bring you family and all your friends. You bring a side dish – we will furnish the meat and drink.

Roundup to host health fair,
volleyball tournament and picnic Aug. 6

Please join Roundup Memorial Healthcare at their community health fair on Saturday, Aug. 6. There will be fun for all ages. The health fair will take place in the Roundup City Park with vendors from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Vendors include Family Planning, face painting for kids, car-seat checks, Roundup Ambulance and Fire Departments, free blood pressure checks, Roundup Mental Health and so many more. St. Vincent Healthcare Help Flight will be landing on site at 10 a.m.
There will be a 5K Fun Run/Walk or a one-mile walk starting at 8 a.m. Register at, but t-shirt not guaranteed since in late registration period.
A sand volleyball tournament will begin at 10 a.m. The top two winning volleyball teams will receive a cash prize. Contact Fawne McCleary at Roundup Memorial Healthcare (406) 323-4922 to register for the volleyball tournament.
There will also be a free Customer Appreciation Picnic from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and free blood draws for lab tests (cholesterol, glucose, and A1c) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All that attend the health fair will have a chance to win a variety of prizes, including a kayak, fit-bit, adult bike, Cabela’s brand “yeti-type” cooler, standard cooler and many more.
